plants grow faster and healthier if subjected to a daily dose of bach's brandenburg concertos. try it.
tastes like chocolate and cures cancer
the benefits of chocolate include the following: antioxidants combat cell damage, endorphins make you feel good, helps with lactose intolerance, helps reduce alcohol intake, chromium controls blood sugar, and it actually fights tooth decay. (usa weekend, 1998)
but will it fly?
apply all the physics that we know to the weight, shape, wing design, and power transmission and control technology of a housefly and you will conclude that it won't fly. we know how to put a man on the moon but we don't know what makes a fly fly. michael is working on it. (michael dickinson) 1999
mind games
chess masters can play chess without a board by verbally announcing the moves and keeping the current state of the board in their minds. jailed chess masters in solitary confinement have been known to play both sides of the board in similar fashion.
the mystery of birth order
of the siblings were you born first? or second? or last? it has a lot to do with who you are. not just nature and nurture but also birth order plays a role in shaping our personalities and our lives. frank sulloway of mit has written a book about this phenomenon.
you remember but you can't recall
after you drive to work i ask you to give me a count of the number of red cars you saw on the road. yes, you do know, and under hypnosis you will recall the exact number. the clutter and background noise of life are filtered out of our consciousness but inexplicably stored.
(btw: memory is unreliable both ways. we forget things that happened and remember things that did not. (henry l. roediger iii, washington university, st. louis). under the right conditions and with some coaxing we can be made to 'remember' total fiction. (elizabeth loftus, university of washington, seattle) NOTE: Watch Derren Brown on C4 for evidence of this!

Chocolate wont cure cancer but it will be an extremley mild preventitive. And its the milk (calcium) in chocolate that will help fight tooth decay, but eating some and not brushing your teeth is going to do a bit of damage. Oh and it has to be 'real' chocolate, not that over-processed stuff.
The normal rules of physics that we apply to ourselves changes greatly when talking about such insects that are as small (or smaller) than the common house-fly. Some odd exceptions in our rules of physics change more and more as we move further down the 'size-scale' and by the time you start hitting the 'string theory' (quantim physics and all that) stuff is just so messed up that normal 'physics' doesn't cut it.
Mind games; now thats crazy, but expected. I'm sure you could find a few koreans who could play a game of counter-strike without a computer.
YBirth Oder; eah sounds like a good read, I've been interested in the effects of birth order. Shall look into it.
I need a hypnotist!
Thanks for the info mate, oh and thanks for the
